A beautiful young woman is about to marry a strong warrior. Her stepmother envies her deeply for her youth and beauty, so she visits a machi (witch) to help her be the most beautiful. The machi makes a potion with the bones of a dead warrior. The stepmother puts the potion on the girl's face the night before her marriage and that's how she wakes up turned into a skull.

 

The girl goes to live into the forest so she doesn’t scare anyone and ends up learning the language of the animals. Thanks to her confidence and persistence she manages to reverse the spell.
