LAUTARO

Based on a true story.

 

Based on the life of a hero. “Lautaro” is play that tells us a piece of the history of Chile.

 

In 1541, the Spaniards reached the south of Chile, and Pedro de Valdivia decided to take Lautaro, a native of the “Mapuche Tribe” to work for him. Lautaro, being only a child, learned that Spaniards were not immortal as his people believed, and that horses were not beasts. With this new knowledge, at age 18, he regains his freedom and goes to teach his people new tactics of war.  Hoping to avenge his father and save his land  from the Spanish invasion.

Duration of the play: 45 minutes.
